• Numerical simulations of defibrillation;
• Modelization of electric waves in the heart;
• Analysis of time series of physiological data;
• Modelization of crystal growth in undercooled melts;
• Control and synchronization of spatially extended chaotic systems;
• Dynamics of open Bose-Einstein condensates;
• Pattern formation in nonlinear optics;
• Instabilities in fluid mechanics (patterns and waves).
